EXCITING WRESTLING BOUTS

UNIVERSITY CHAMPIONSHIPS HELD IN GYMNASIUM YESTERDAY EVENING.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

In spite of the fact that there were few entries for the University wrestling championships held in Hemenway Gymnasium last evening, the bouts were very exciting and closely contested. The only actual fall during the evening was scored in the 135-pound class by M. L. Hodgson '16 over E. G. W. Ruge 1L. in five and a half minutes, all other matches being settled by referee's decision. In that same class occurred the most exciting bout of the evening between R. B. Ottie 2G. and M. L. Hodgson '16 when the former was given the decision over the latter after two 6-minute and four 3-minute bouts. Only three other classes had entries.

The winners in four classes follow: 125-pound class--H. B. Goodfriend '14; 135-pound class--R. B. Ottie 2G.; 145-pound class--S. P. Griffitts '15; 158-pound class--W. R. Tyler '14.
