The second University chess team defeated Technology Saturday night by a score of 6 1-2 to 1-2. This was the second match between the two teams. The first was won by Technology in December by a score of 4 1-2 to 1 1-2.

The matches played Saturday night resulted as follows: L. R. Gord 1G defeated W. Grant (T); E. G. Lange '13 and C. E. Harwood (T), played to a draw; C. H. Fabens '13 defeated W. E. Merrill (T); S. K. Belvalkar 1G., defeated R. H. Chandler (T); D. M. Beers '15 defeated L. B. Hoyt (T); G. M. Currier '16 defeated 1 Paris (T.); E. R. V. Burley '13 defeated R. D. Brown (T).
