The figures for the business carried on by the Co-operative Society in its two stores during the first half of the College year 1912-13 show an increase of approximately $15,000. About the same increase was shown at this time last year also. If the present rate of business continues during the entire year the total receipts will amount to some $450,000. In membership there has also been a substantial gain of 227 over the corresponding figures of a year ago, making the total present membership 2928. As the operating expenses of the year have been about the same there is every probability that at least the usual 9 per cent, dividend will be declared at the end of this year's business.
In the absence of Professor W. B. Munro '99, Mr. J. L. Taylor, assistant comptroller of the University, and treasurer of the society, is acting president.
