First Baseball Practice

The first practice for battery candidates for the University and Freshman baseball teams were held yesterday afternoon in the Cage at Soldiers Field. The University candidates had been getting into condition by taking daily exercise on the chest-weights in the Gymnasium during the previous week, but this was their first real session of baseball practice this year. Sixteen men reported. The first call for Freshman battery candidates brought out twelve men.
