To the Editors of the CRIMSON:

The purpose of the red-handkerchief sale seems to be generally misunderstood. The cheer leaders desire to have the whole Harvard side of the Stadium a mass of red and in order to accomplish this it will be necessary for every Harvard man to have one red handkerchief to go with each ticket he holds whether it be in the cheering section or not. Therefore I want to urge upon every Harvard man to see to it that he has the right number of these red handkerchiefs to use at the Yale game. They are on sale at the Union every day this week for 5 cents each a price which should prohibit no one from buying. A. F. PICKERNELI. '14.
