The second crew of the Thayer Club defeated the second crew of the Eliot Club yesterday afternoon over the mile and a half course in the Basin, thereby winning the Filley Cup for their club. The Eliot crew was ahead half way down the course, but the Thayer men pulled up and won by a length. The final score of the clubs is Thayer 4 3-4, Eliot 1 1-2.
