The registration at the Summer Schools this year was unusually large, exceeding that of last year by 29. The attendance was 807 as against 778 who took courses last year.
Figures showing the occupations of students at the School during the two years disclose some interesting facts. Of those attending the School in Cambridge practically sixty per cent. are teachers of one kind or another; and of these in turn thirty-three per cent. are from the grade schools. The number of teachers from the high schools comes next.
By far the largest class among the remaining occupations is that of students of the University. Only a few in each of the others are registered.
