The University lacrosse team easily defeated the Springfield Lacrosse Club last Saturday in a very one-sided contest by the score of 24 to 0. The visitors were seriously handicapped by the sudden loss of several regulars, and consequently did not make as good a showing as they have earlier in the season.
In the first half, with the first string men playing, Harvard shot 16 goals, while Springfield was at no time threatening. With seven substitutes in the second half, eight more goals were scored.
The Summary: Score-Harvard 24. Springfield 0. Goals-Earle 6, Gustafson 4, Blackett 4, White 3, Eaton 2, Foristall 2, Abbe, Beatley, Hale, Referee-D.P. Penhallow '03.
