At the regular meeting of the Governing Board of the Union in the Trophy Room last evening it was recommended to the trustees that a swimming pool 30 by 80 feet, with a sloping depth of 4 to 8 feet, be built in the basement to replace the pool tables in the room which was damaged by fire three weeks ago. If the plan is carried out tiers of seats will probably be built around the pool to accommodate spectators at swimming exhibitions.
The Board also elected the following officers for the ensuing year: chairman, Henry Smith Thompson '99; secretary, Harvey Rexford Hitchcock, Jr., '14 of Pukoo, Molokai, Hawaii.
