Within a short time a collection of Phillippine relics and curios, the gift of Mr. A. J. Boyden '95 will be placed in the Peabody Museum, where there is already a rather incomplete Phillippine collection.
Mr. Elkan Naumburg has offered the income of $10,000 as a fellowship in music to enable any graduate student who has shown marked musical ability to continue his studies either here or abroad.
The following fellowships have been awarded: McDowell Fellowship to W. F. Merrill uC., Central American fellowship in Archaeology to C. L. Hay '08. Robert C. Winthrop fellowship to A. B. Skinner sC.
Professor Reisner '89 has been granted leave of absence beginning January 10 to conduct an expedition to Egypt, and C. S. Fisher has been appointed architect of the expedition for one year.
W. R. Castle has given $5,000, in memory of the late Dr. W. R. Brinkerhoff '98, the income of which shall be used under the direction of the Shattuck professor of anatomy for the promotion of medical knowledge.
