To the Editors of the CRIMSON:
Perhaps you would be good enough to explain to some of your readers, the meaning and purpose of the Freshman Red Book. This book was begun by a self-appointed committee, without the knowledge or consent of the Freshman class. It is an innovation; and an innovation should always be carefully considered before it becomes a fact. Very likely, the Freshman class, if consulted, would approve the Red Book, but as they know nothing about it, it is now greatly criticised. Perhaps it would be a help for all parties, if more was known about it, what its financial basis will be, and its chances for success. 1913
