Dr. C. L. Alsberg, instructor from 1902-1906 and head of the biological department at the Medical School from 1906 until his resignation in 1908, was recently appointed chief of the Bureau of Chemistry at Washington, to succeed Dr. Harvey W. Wiley. Dr. Alsberg, who is a widely recognized biochemical expert, has been in the Agricultural Department since his resignation here.
