PLANS FOR SOUTHERN TRIP

Final Arrangements for Musical Clubs in South Include Seven Concerts and Many Entertainments.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The full arrangements for the Musical Clubs' southern trip during the Christmas recess are now completed. This will be the first trip to the South ever taken by Harvard musicians. While it is not so extensive as the western tour last year, it is, nevertheless, longer than any trips previous to last year.

Since the announcement on November 8, several changes have been made. Concerts will be given in seven cities and possibly eight. The Springfield performance will be omitted and there is a possibility of one in Dayton, Ohio. The complete schedule is as follows:

Dec. 23.--Philadelphia, Pa.

Dec. 26.--Louisville, Ky.

Dec. 27.--Cincinnati, O.

Dec. 30.--Reading, Pa.

Dec. 31.--Washington, D. C.

Jan. 1.--Baltimore, Md.

Jan. 2.--Brooklyn, N. Y.

About 53 men including 2 managers will make the trip. Mr. Rice, coach of the Mandolin Club, will also accompany the men and will devote particular attention to keeping the instruments in order. In each of the cities where the clubs will stop, the local Harvard Clubs have shown great enthusiasm in arranging to entertain the members of the clubs and have undertaken to make the provisions necessary for a successful concert. The social plans include dances, teas, dinners, smokers and receptions, so that a trip no less enjoyable than last year may be expected.

Railroad Accommodations.

The Pennsylvania Railroad will have charge of the transportation arrangements. Two sleepers and one baggage car, the latter to be for the accommodation of trunks and instruments, and also to serve as a dressing room, will be used by the clubs throughout the trip from New York back to New York.

The men to go have not been definitely decided upon as yet. The program to be presented will be, with slight variations, as follows:
