MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT
Course on That Subject to be Given Next Year.--William Belden Noble Lecturer Appointed.
Among the recent appointments made by the Faculty of the University none is more prominent and of more interest than those of three citizens of Boston as lecturers on municipal government for the year ending June, 1913. These men are David Abram Ellis '94, A.B., LL.B., member of the Boston public school board; Stephen O'Meara, A.M., LL.D., police commissioner of Boston, and John Andrew Sullivan, A.M., LL.B., chairman of the Boston finance commission.
Noble Lecturer for This Year.
Another appointment is that of Rt. Rev. William Boyd-Carpenter, D.D., D.C.L., Litt.D., of Riversea Kingswear, London, as the William Belden Noble lecturer for the present College year. Rev. Boyd-Carpenter has acted in the capacity of chaplain to Queen Victoria, and is at present bishop of Ripon. This is the second time that he has been honored with this appointment, having lectured under the same foundation in 1904.
