BASEBALL SCHEDULE

FOR 1912 ANNOUNCED. 27 GAMES TO BE PLAYED BY UNIVERSITY TEAM.

Harvard's baseball schedule in completed form with the dates of the Yale games, the game with the Boston Red Sox and the Southern trip have just been announced by Manager Arai. All games are to be played in Cambridge unless the place is specified.

The schedule follows:

April 9--Boston Americans, at Boston.

April 13--Johns Hopkins, at Baltimore.

April 15--Catholic University, at Washington.

April 16--Georgetown University at Washington.

April 17--Baltimore League Team, at Baltimore.

April 18--Navy, at Annapolis.

April 23--Bates.

April 25--Maine.

April 27--Colby.

April 30--Vermont.

May 2--Bowdoin.

May 4--Amherst.

May 7--Lafayette.

May 9--Pilgrims.

May 11--Holy Cross at Worcester.

May 15--Syracuse.

May 18--Dartmouth.

May 22--Brown.

May 25--Princeton.

May 30--Pennsylvania, at Philadelphia.

June 1--Exeter.

June 5--Williams.

June 8--Brown, at Providence.

June 12--Holy Cross.

June 18--Yale, at New Haven.

June 19--Yale, at Cambridge.

June 22--Yale, at New York (in case of a tie).

A total of 24 battery candidates for the University and Freshman baseball teams reported to Coach Sexton yesterday afternoon in the Hemenway Gymnasium for the first practice of the year. They will report regularly for work in the Gymnasium until February 12 when practice for the whole squad will start in the Cage. The preliminary work as outlined by Dr. Sexton yesterday will consist of exercise with the chest weights. Young and Bird are the only men who have played on a University team to report yesterday. All who have formerly been on the University squad, however, are expected to come out for this work. Those who reported for the University squad are as follows: B. Beaman '14, F. O. Bergquist sC., G. F. Bird '13, H. C. Bird '14, D. W. Buffum. '14, W. Bulkeley '14, H. H. Loomis uC., N. S. Waterman '14, A. W. Welch '14, W. B. Young '13.

The candidates for the Freshman team are as follows: F. J. Bassett, H. B. Caldwell, H. L. Chapin, R. B. Frye, L. Hemenway, C. A. Herter, J. E. McCauley, A. D. Macdonald, F. H. Mahn, H. A. Packard, E. M. Robinson, P. B. Watson, L. M. Wright.
