Other members are required to pay for board in advance, making a deposit for this purpose with the Bursar, a tthe rate of $6 a week. A member is charged for board at the established rate from the day his registration takes effect until the close of the Hall at the end of the academic year, except for deductions secured by withdrawal, week-end absence, or vacation.

The members of the Hall are organized so far as possible into club tables, which will be assigned upon the application of members wishing to eat together. Tables of different size are provided to meet as nearly as possible the needs of different sized clubs; but the management reserves the right to fix from time to time for each table the maximum and minimum number of persons to be assigned to it. In case a club fails to bring its membership up to the minimum number fixed for its table, it may be assigned to a smaller table, or additional members may be added at the discretion of the management. Transfers from one table to another are allowed only on application to the Office. The waiter for each table is provided with a list of its authorized members, and will be instructed to serve no other person, except upon presentation of a single-meal ticket.

The members of each club table are required to appoint one of their number as Head. It is the duty of the Head to represent his table in dealing with the management. Smoking is permitted in the main dining hall at dinner within a period fixed by the Hall Committee.

Mr. Frederick Wilkey, who managed the Harvard Union last year, has been engaged by the Corporation to take charge of the Dining Halls this season.
