The University second baseball team won from Waltham High School on Soldiers Field yesterday afternoon in a hard-fought ten-inning game, by the score of 4 to 3. Bolton was easily the star, driving out two home runs, the second one winning the game for the University.
The first score was made on Bolton's first home run to deep left field. Chase came in with the second run in the fourth inning, when he singled, stole second, and tallied on Blackall's hit. In the sixth inning Barry and Filson scored for Waltham on Fagan's hit. The second team again took the lead in the eighth session when Tomes got a base on balls, stole second, went to third on an error, and came home while Chase was being run down between first and second. Waltham tied the score in the ninth when Stankard knocked a three-base hit, bringing in McClellan. Bolton's home run in the last of the tenth won the game, 4 to 3.
