Plans are now under consideration for a joint cruise of the Harvard and Yale Yacht clubs to be held under the auspices of the Seawanhaka Corinthian Yacht Club of Oyster Bay, Long Island. The cruise will start on the day following the boat races at New London next June. The plans are to have the clubs cruise from New London to the Seawanhaka station on Long Island.
The Harvard Club is at present very well equipped. It has the use of four 35-footers and six 25-footers. More will be added if the proposed cruise is undertaken. The Yale club has a larger equipment and makes a specialty of bi-weekly races in which cups are given to the winners.
It is the purpose of the promoters to classify the entrants and make the cruise in the form of a race.
