HAVERFORD SOCCER GAME

First League Match for University Team on Soldiers Field at 3.30 o'clock.

The University association football team will play Haverford on Soldiers Field this afternoon at 3.30 o'clock. This will be the first league game for the University. The forwards, which have been the weak part of the team, will be seriously crippled this afternoon by the loss of Byng, who will be unable to play. In the Andover game on Wednesday he scored four goals.

Haverford won the championship last year and usually has a strong team. So far it has defeated Pennsylvania, 3 to 1, and has lost to Columbia, 1 to 0.

Practice yesterday afternoon consisted of a half-hour game between the first and second teams, in which the first scored consistently. The field has improved somewhat since Wednesday, but is still soft enough to slow up the playing to a great extent.

The line-ups will be: HARVARD.  HAVERFORD. Swan, l.o.f.  r.o.f., Thomas Seamans, l.i.f.  r.i.f., Elkinton Winston, c.f.  c.f., Downing Green, r.i.f.  l.i.f., Stocks Needham, r.o.f.  l.o.f., Bently Hallowell, l.h.b.  r.h.b., Taylor Eaton, c.h.b.  c.h.b., Young Richard, r.h.b.  l.h.b., Smith Cushing, l.f.b.  r.f.b., Portenson Barron, r.f.b.,  l.f.b., Hartshorn Chadwick, g.  g., Murray
