The Boston Athletic Association will hold its annual indoor track meet in Mechanics Building, Boston, on Saturday evening, February 10. As usual there will be club and University relay races and handicap and scratch individual events.
The scratch events will be the 40-yard dash, 45-yard high hurdles (3 flights), and the three-mile run. To enter the last named event a man must show a record of 16 minutes for the distance.
The handicap events will be as follows: three standing, broad jumps, 18-inch limit, competitors must show 31-foot record; 600-yard dash, 30-yard limit; 1000-yard run, 50-yard limit; one mile run, 75-yard limit; putting 16-pound shot, 4-foot limit, competitors must show that they have put the shot at least 40 feet in competition; high jump, 3-inch limit, competitors must show that they have jumped at least 5 feet, 3 inches in competition.
It is expected that relay teams will be entered by the following: Amherst, Bates, Boston College, Bowdoin, Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Holy Cross, University of Maine, Massachusetts Agricultural College, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of Pennsylvania, Princeton, Syracuse, Tufts, University of Vermont, Wesleyan, Williams, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Yale, Brookline Gymnastic Association, and the Boston. Irish-American, New York, and Pastime Athletic Clubs.
Prizes will be awarded to winners of first, second, and third places in each event, except in the team races.
