Soccer vs. Springfield Today

The University association football team will play the second game of its season against the Springfield Training School, this afternoon at Springfield. The team last year lost to the Training School, and it is expected that this game, coming so early in the schedule, will be a hard one. The forwards, whose lack of team-work was noticeable in the game last Saturday, have improved somewhat, and the backs clear the ball much better. The team as a whole, however, does not yet work well together. Weston, who injured his knee in practice, will not be in the game today, Baldwin taking his place at right half-back and Francke moving to the centre of the line. These recent changes will weaken the defence considerably. The team will leave the Square at 10.55 to catch the 11.34 train from the Back Bay station.

The line-ups: HARVARD.  SPRINGFIELD. Brown, g.  g., Smith Barron, r.f.b.  l.h.b., Payne Rushmore, l.f.b.  r.f.b., Lockley Baldwin, r.h.b.  l.h.b., Chittick Francke, c.h.b.  c.h.b., Amerhurst Grant, l.h.b.  r.h.b., Bowers Needham, r.o.f.  l.o.f., Goss Murdoch, r.i.f.  l.i.f., Hutchinson Green, c.f.  c.f., Lamb Palmer, l.i.f.  r.i.f., Warren Byng, l.o.f.  r.o.f., Irwin
