The Freshman hockey team easily defeated St. Mark's School at Southboro by a score of 8 to 1. St. Mark's carried the puck into the Freshmen's territory at the very start, and Cunningham scored the school's only goal after 45 seconds of play. From then on, the 1914 team played together better, and its goal was not in danger again.
The St. Mark's forwards were very weak and showed little team-play, but the defense was good. Ervin played especially well, keeping down the score by his brilliant work at goal.
The Freshmen improved in team-work during the game, and were much stronger in this department than in their last game. Sortwell, Willetts and Wingate did the best work for their team.
