The Wells Cup race, a 440-yard dash, held in the Stadium yesterday afternoon, was won by G. P. Gardner, Jr., '10, in 49 3-5 seconds. F. M. deSelding '10 finished second, and H. W. Kelley '11, who won the cup last year, was third.

L. Watson '10 and Gardner, each of whom had 5 yards handicap, ran first and second, respectively, to the first turn. There Gardner sprinted and easily passed Watson, who weakened quickly; at the tape, Gardner was leading deSelding by 10 yards.
