The University hockey team was defeated by the Crescent Hockey Club last evening at the Boston Arena by the score of 1 to 0. The result of the game was chiefly due to the lack of team play of the University forwards.

The Freshman hockey team defeated Newton High School in the afternoon in a well-played game by the score of 3 to 0. Gorham made the first goal for the Freshmen and Palmer the last two. The Freshman line-up was as follows: l.e., Wendell; l.e., Palmer; r.c., Gorham; r.e., Paine; c.p., Booth: p., Graustein: g., Gardner.
