Prof. Trowbridge to Resign Sept. 1

The Board of Overseers at its last meeting accepted the resignation of Professor John Trowbridge '65, Rumford professor and lecturer on the application of science to the useful arts, and director of the Jefferson Physical Laboratory; the resignation will take effect on September 1, 1910. At the same meeting the Board appointed Professor Trowbridge honorary director of the Jefferson Physical Laboratory, to take effect on the same date.

For 22 years Professor Trowbridge has held his present position, prior to which he was professor of physics from 1880, and for the preceding ten years assistant professor in the same subject.
