We wish to congratulate the University eight upon its well-earned victory over the Annapolis oarsmen. The crew has comparatively few races to repay its members for their hard daily work, and it is a great satisfaction to have it do so well after the numerous shifts which were necessitated early in the season.
The baseball team performed creditably in its two southern games. Its opponents had already played off half their schedules, while the University nine had just begun its season and is still unsettled in its make-up. We look to the baseball team for a successful season.
The track team has been unfortunate in losing one of its strongest men. The team is well balanced, however, and we hope that the faithful work of its members will be rewarded.
