BASEBALL TEAM GOES SOUTH

This evening at 8 o'clock the University baseball squad of 18 players will leave by the Federal Express for the southern trip. Assistant Manager Jones, Coach Pieper, and Fallon, the rubber, will accompany the squad. Manager Wyman went last night to make arrangements for the accommodation of the squad in Charlottesville, Va.

The players to be taken on the trip are as follows: R. H. Aronson '10, R. C. Babson '12, S. C. Boyer '10, R. C. Brown '10, J. P. Carr '11, J. R. Desha '12, F. S. Ernst '12, R. Haydock '10, S. T. Hicks '10, A. J. Kelly '12, C. L. Lanigan '10, C. B. McLaughlin '11, R. S. Marshall '10, W. M. Minot '11, H. E. Ohler '11, R. S. Potter '12, H. E. Reeves '12, and W. Young '12.

Arriving in Washington tomorrow morning at 9.45 o'clock, the squad will have lunch at the Arlington, and will leave at 2 o'clock for Charlottesville, arriving at 5.30 o'clock. During the week there will be practice twice daily on Monday and Tuesday, and games with the University of Virginia on Wednesday and Thursday. The use of the University of Virginia grounds has been extended to the team as last year. On Friday the team will return to Washington and may have practice there in the afternoon, depending on the way it develops earlier in the week. The game with Georgetown will be played on the college diamond on Saturday afternoon, after which the men will return to Cambridge.

In the preliminary games the University of Virginia has made a good showing against several northern college teams. Georgetown seems to be not so strong as usual.
