At a meeting of the Student Council last evening, the following resolution was passed at the suggestion of the Faculty Council: "The Student Council has appointed a committee consisting of A. Beane '11, J. D. Davis '08, and P. D. Smith '11 to act for the undergraduates in co-operation with the Faculty committee in raising a subscription in the College towards the swimming pool gift to the Cambridge Y. M. C. A. In appointing these men, the Council wishes to commend the swimming pool plan as one which deserves the hearty support of the undergraduates."
E. E. Hunt '10 was elected a member of the Student Council to succeed H. Fish, Jr., '10, resigned. His election is in accordance with a recent resolution of the Council to elect a member, who should represent scholarship.
The appointment of R. Lowell, 2nd, '12, as second assistant manager of the crew, and of F. W. Hubbell and W. F. Cogswell as manager and assistant manager respectively of the Freshman baseball team was confirmed, subject to the approval of the Athletic Committee.
