1911 Yard Applications Close Feb. 23

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Applications for rooms in Holworthy, Hollis and Stoughton, from members of the class of 1911 must be sent to the "1911 Senior Dormitory Committee, Phillips Brooks House" on or before next Wednesday. The office hours of this committee are from 9 to 1. Inasmuch as tomorrow will be a holiday, it is requested that those intending to apply, call at the office of the committee in Phillips Brooks House sometime this morning. This is especially desirable for the smaller groups. Men may apply in groups of from two to fourteen, the latter number being the maximum capacity of the smallest entries. The assignment will be made by lot, in which preference will be given to the larger groups of applications. The rooms available next year in the three dormitories mentioned above are as follows:

Holworthy.--West entry, 8 rooms; middle entry, 7 rooms; east entry, 7 rooms.

Hollis.--South entry, 14 rooms; north entry, 16 rooms.

Stoughton--South entry, 13 rooms; north entry, 15 rooms.

These rooms will each accommodate two men, and as the preference will be given to the larger group applications, the application of two men who apply together will be given consideration before that of a man who applies alone. For group applications it is desirable that one man act as captain for each group of four or more. This captain will send the application to the committee in a sealed envelope containing the signatures of his group. On the outside of each envelope some fictitious name is to be written in order to distinguish it, together with the number of names contained therein. If a man's name appears in more than one application, each application in which his name appears will be thrown out. The sealed application is to be enclosed in a second envelope and addressed to the committee.

Should any applications remain unfilled, a second allotment will be held before February 28, by which these applicants will be accommodated in one or more of the entries of Thayer Hall.
