HARD FOOTBALL SCRIMMAGE

University Team Scored Two Goals on Substitutes.--Leslle on Field.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The University football squad had the second hard drill of the week yesterday afternoon, when a long scrimmage was held with the substitutes. The only scores were two drop-kicks, one made by Lewis and one by O'Flaherty.

The scrimmage was slow, due to the fact that the coaches continually interrupted the plays to give the men individual attention. The University team was on the offence all the time and tried a great variety of open plays. Corbett and T. Frothingham were excused from practice and their places were taken by Graustein and Wendell. Perkins played centre, since the injury which he received day before yesterday was not as serious as was at first thought. H. C. Leslie was out in football clothes, but did no heavy work.

The line-ups were: UNIVERSITY TEAM.  SUBSTITUTES. Lewis, Felton, l.e.  r.e., Paine McKay, l.t.  r.t., Parmenter Minot, l.g.  r.g., Keays Perkins, c.  c., Huntington Fisher, r.g.  l.g., Stow Withington, r.t.  l.t., Bush Smith, O'Flaherty, r.e.  l.e., Jowett Wigglesworth, q.b.  q.b., Gardner Graustein, l.h.b.  r.h.b., Pierce Wendell, r.h.b.  l.h.b., Campbell Morrison, f.b.  f.b., Tryon
