LONG HOCKEY SCRIMMAGE

First Team Played Three Different Substitute Sevens.--New Candidates.

The University hockey team held its second practice of the season in the Boston Arena last evening. Several sets of forwards were lined up and sent against the defence. Then the University team had a long scrimmage with three separate substitute teams, in which it lined up as follows: l.e., Gorham; l.c., Palmer; r.c., Blackall; r.e., Hornblower; c.p., Houston; p., Foster; g., Chadwick. Besides Coach A. Winsor '02, S. T. Hicks '10 and T. S. Sampson '09 were on the ice. The next practice will be held in the Arena on Monday at 5.30 o'clock.

The following new men reported: forwards--F. W. Copeland '13, R. F. Duncan '12, J. Elliot '11, W. B. Fraser-Campbell '11, C. E. Miller '13, W. S. Seamans '11; defence--R. J. Eaton '12, F. W. Pollard '12.
