Hockey Practice to Start Monday

The candidates for both the University and Freshman hockey teams met for the first time yesterday evening. Captain R. Hornblower '11 said that the University squad would begin work in the Boston Arena Monday afternoon at 5.30 o'clock, unless a notice to the contrary should be posted at Leavitt & Peirce's. The schedule is not complete yet, but the first game will probably take place in the middle of December. As there are only three weeks before this game, practice will probably be held in Boston four times a week, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. F. W. Paul '11; who will coach the Freshmen, spoke next. He said that practice for the Freshman team will not commence yet, but all men who are coming out for it are advised to get in condition by playing soccer and by skating in the Arena. All men who intend to buy new skates should consult trainer W. E. Quinn before doing so
