In the baseball practice game which was held yesterday afternoon on Soldiers Field, team A again defeated team B by the score of 8 to 7 in eleven innings. The game showed great improvement over last Friday's game. The men hit to greater advantage and fewer errors were made.
In the first inning, team A got two runs through errors, and in the sixth inning, the score was tied by McLaughlin's home run with one man on base. However, team A got three runs in the next two innings through the hits made by Tomes, Twitchell, and Paul. The following inning, the eighth, team B got three hits and three bases on balls, thereby scoring five times; while in the second half of this inning, team A tied the score through errors. The winning run was made in the eleventh inning. Bartlett passed two men, and Tomes made a clean hit to centre field, bringing in Paul.
