The resolution adopted yesterday by the Athletic Committee, awarding the track "H" to men finishing first, second, or third in the cross-country run with Yale, or in one of the first seven places in the intercollegiate race, accords with the administration's sound policy of emphasizing the importance of the cross-country team. As the CRIMSON pointed out a few days ago, success in cross-country running goes hand in hand with success in the long track races. The action of the Athletic Committee will stimulate interest in fall running and make for a better showing on the track next spring.
