The semi-final round in the fall singles tournament for the University championship in tennis will be played on the first two courts on Jarvis Field this afternoon at 2.15. The remaining contestants are A. Sweetser '11, W. B. Fraser-Campbell '11, C. S. Cutting '12, and E. H. Whitney '14. The singles matches today will be for the best three out of five sets.
The only singles match yesterday resulted in a victory for C. S. Cutting '12 over J. Tunis '11, 6-1, 4-6, 6-1.
The results of the matches in doubles were as follows:
Second round.--A. Sweetser '11 and W. B. Fraser-Campbell '11 defeated E. R. Hastings, Jr., '14 and P. Williams '14, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3; A. Tomes '13 and Q. A. S. McKean '13 defeated J. Tunis '11 and N. E. Paine, Jr., '13, 6-3, 6-2.
Third round.--A. Sweetser '11 and W. B. Fraser-Campbell '11 defeated M. Criswold 3L. and R. MacVeagh 3L., 6-1, 6-4.
The following singles matches will be played today on Jarvis Field at 2.15:
Semi-finals.--C. S. Cutting '12 vs. A. Sweetser '11, W. B. Fraser-Campbell '11 vs. E. H. Whitney '14.
The following doubles matches will be played today on Jarvis Field at 4:
E. H. Whitney '14 and E. H. Woods '14 vs. C. M. Underwood G. and J. M. Baker '12, F. A. Pearson '11 and C. S. Cutting '12 vs. A. Tomes '13 and Q. A. S. McKean '13, S. Minot '13 and G. Sturgis '13 vs. J. R. McLane 2L. and E. P. Pearson 2L.
