The University crew management has received word from New Haven that the Yale eight is practically sure of being able to row the Harvard-Yale race on Thursday, June 30. The dates of June 22 and June 25 have been under discussion for this event. The former is objectionable because of its following so closely upon the final examinations. June 25 has been deemed undesirable because of its falling on Saturday, which would necessitate postponement in case of unfavorable weather until Tuesday, June 28, the date set for the Harvard-Yale baseball game in New York. On both of these dates the tides are unfavorable. Subject to the approval of the Athletic Committee, negotiations have been opened with Annapolis for a race on Thursday, April 21.
