Owing to the delay in completing the Boston Arena, it has become necessary to transfer the Harvard-Yale hockey game to New York. It will be played in the St. Nicholas Rink on Saturday, February 19. For the same reason three of the other intercollegiate games will have to be transferred: Cornell-Dartmouth on February 9, Harvard-Dartmouth on February 12, and Columbia-Dartmouth on February 16. This will necessitate a change in dates as there are games already scheduled for the St. Nicholas Rink on these days.
From the present state of completion, the Boston Arena is expected to be ready for use by April 9. Three of the brick walls have been completed and all the girders are in place. It still remains to install the machinery and lay about twelve miles of steel pipe. Seats to accommodate over 5000 spectators are to be arranged in the arena pit formation, which will afford an excellent opportunity for the audience to see all parts of the ice surface.
