Princeton vs. Yale in New York

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Princeton hockey team will play Yale this evening in the St. Nicholas Rink, New York, in the seventh game of the intercollegiate series. More depends on the result of this game than on any of the remaining contests, as it will practically decide if Princeton is to win or the for the intercollegiate championship. So far Princeton has not lost a game, having won from all the colleges entered in the league, except Yale.

Yale will play its first league game this evening, and little is known concerning the strength of that team. Judging from the three practice games played with. Princeton at Pittsburgh during the Christmas recess, Princeton has a slight advantage over Yale. If Princeton should win this evening the championship will be decided; if Yale defeats Princeton, Harvard may still cause a triple tie by defeating Yale on February 19.

The standing of the teams in the intercollegiate hockey league at present is as follows:   Played  Won  Lost  Percent. Princeton,  4  4  0  1.000 Harvard,  3  2  1  .666 Cornell,  2  0  2  .000 Columbia,  2  0  2  .000 Dartmouth,  1  0  1  .000 Yale,  0  0  0  .000
