The University second baseball team will play the second Yale nine on the University diamond this afternoon at 2 o'clock. This will be the first game ever played between the second teams of the two universities. H. A. A. tickets will not admit, but tickets at 50 cents will admit to all parts of Soldiers Field.
The University second team has had a successful season, having lost but one game out of five played. It was defeated by Cushing Academy, 3 to 1, but has won from Rindge Manual Training School 9 to 3, from St. Mark's 7 to 1, from Tufts second 1 to 0, and from Holy Cross second 8 to 7.
The team is strong at the bat and in base-running, but the pitching staff is weak. Ferguson will probably start the game today after an absence of two weeks on account of an injury.
Yale has a strong team, having defeated the Hill School and the South Orange Field Club in its only game.
