The first out-door practice for the entire Freshman baseball squad was held yesterday afternoon. The squad was divided into two teams, which played a six-inning game, the score being 3 to 2 in favor of team A. The same battery played for both sides, and there were therefore seven men batting on each team. The fielding was erratic and errors were very frequent, although a few good plays were made. Several pitchers were used during the game.
The batting orders: The pitchers were: Hantes, Ernst, Campbell, and Babson. The catchers were: Young, Howe, and Reeves.
