In the continued absence of L. Withington from the University crew on account of a slight poisoning in the back of his hand, P. Withington was given a try-out at No. 5 yesterday, Hooper returning to No. 6 in the second crew. Waite went out again at No. 4 in the second boat and Forster moved back to his position at No. 2. King coxswained the University crew in the absence of Blagden for the day.
The orders were as follows:

Second crew--Stroke, Richardson; 7, Macleod; 6, Hooper; 5, Smith; 4, Waite; 3, Whitney; 2, Forster; bow, Ellis; cox., Fales.
