The accompanying table given the registration in all departments of the University at the beginning of this week, and the figures for the corresponding date last year. The total enrollment in all departments of the University is 3994, the Summer School and Radcliffe College not being counted. This figure shows a gain of 125 over the registration at the corresponding time last year, and of 76 over the Catalogue registration of last year. Harvard College shows a gain of 19. The Freshman class this year is 662 as against 600 last year--a gain of 62. The Lawrence Scientific School, the last undergraduates in which are disappearing, as no new students are being admitted, shows a loss of 26. The Graduate School of Applied Science shows a gain of 10; the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences a gain of 12; and the Graduate School of Business Administration a gain of 16. The total registration in the foregoing departments of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences gives an increase of 31 over last year. The Divinity School shows an increase of 9, the number of regular and special students being exactly the same as last year, but the number of graduate students having doubled. The Law School has a gain of 71, the entering class of 307 being the largest on record. The Medical School reports a decrease of 8. The Dental School, which has just moved into its new building, shows a gratifying increase of 22, the entering class having been more than doubled.
