In the court-tennis match at the formal opening of the Randolph Tennis and Racquet Courts. Saturday afternoon. Peter Latham, former professional champion of the world, giving 1-2 15, defeated day Gould, amateur champion of the world by 3 sets to 1. Gould won the first set by a score of 6-3, Latham won the succeeding sets, 6-3, 6-4, 6-2. Gould was noticeably off his game, so that after the first set, which he played brilliantly, Latham had no difficulty in defeating him.
