Mr. E. B. Baldwin, the arctic explorer, will speak on "the Baldwin-Ziegler Polar Expedition and Plans for Future Polar Research" in the Living Room of the Union next Tuesday evening. In his lecture he will describe his experiences with the expedition and will explain his ideas for the success of future polar research, which have never before been made public. Mr. Baldwin accompanied Commodore Peary in his dash for the North Pole in 1893. Five years later he went with the Wellman polar expedition. He also travelled to Spitzbergen in order to go with Andree in his balloon trip over the Arctic Sea, but the balloonist had started northward the day before his arrival. During one of these expeditions he built Fort McKinley.
