Wesleyan Defeated Harvard, 31 to 6

The University basketball team was defeated last night by Wesleyan, the score being 31 to 6. The game was a disappointment in every way, as the University team was completely outclassed by its opponents. Harvard's defence was much better than its offence, because the men had a great tendency to play individually, with the result that the attack entirely lacked team work.

Shortly after the beginning of the second half three substitutes were put in on the University team. These seemed to put some life into the attack and three goals were scored.

The summary:

Score--Wesleyan, 31; Harvard, 6. Goals from floor--Closson 6, White 4, Hayward 3, Soule 2, Brooks, Currie, Scriber. Goals from foul--Closson. Fouls called--Harvard 7, Wesleyan 5.
