NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

NEW HAVEN, CONN., September 26, 1907.--The second scrimmage of the year for the Yale football squad took place this afternoon in a keenly contested battle between the first and second teams. Wheaton for the university team made a successful attempt at a drop kick, thereby scoring the only goal. Corey excelled in punting, his kicks averaging from 45 to 50 yards. Previous to the scrimmage Coach Knox and his assistants put the whole squad through a severe drill, and ran three of the teams through a lively fifteen-minutes signal practice.

Yale College opened in all its departments yesterday.
