The second trial matches to choose a team to represent the University against Princeton on Saturday, which were played yesterday, resulted as follows: R. H. Eggleston, Jr., '09 defeated C. Abeles '08, 6-3, 8-6; A. M. Harlow '07 defeated O. W. Knauth '09, 6-2, 7-5; A. N. Reggio '07 defeated K. S. Johnson '07, 6-4, 10-8; H. S. Davis '08 defeated G. S. Taylor '07, 6-1, 2-6, 6-3, E. P. Pearson '09 defeated M. T. Ackerland '09, 6-1, 6-3; A. N. Reggio '07 defeated H. S. Davis '08, 6-4, 6-2; E. P. Pearson '09 defeated K. S. Johnson '07, 6-0, 6-4.
The following matches will be played today, the winners of the first two and the winner of the two losers being retained for the team:
At 1.30--Eggleston '09 vs. Harlow '07; Reggio '07 vs. Pearson '09.
At 2.30--Winner of Eggleston-Harlow match vs. winner of Reggio-Pearson match; loser of Eggleston-Harlow match vs. loser of Reggio-Pearson match.
