1909 Crew vs. Worcester High

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Sophomore crew, which finished second in the Beacon Cup Regatta, will race the Worcester High School crew over a one-mile course on Lake Quinsigamond this afternoon at 5.30 o'clock.

Chances of success for the Sophomores are very favorable, for, although the men broke training for four days after the class races, the work has been steady ever since, and their strong showing in the Beacon Cup Regatta leaves but little doubt of their ability. The crew, however, has not been trained for so short, a distance and an interesting race is expected.

The crews will row in the following order:

Sophomore crew--Stroke, Wentworth; 7, Ellis; 6, Crandall; 5, Rackemann; 4, Williams; 3, Wood; 2, Butler; bow, Roche; cox., Simons.

Worcester High School--Stroke, Nylen; 7, McDermott; 6, Warren; 5, Fitzgerald; 4, Ewat; 3, Kinney; 2, Williams; bow, Coe; cox., Burns.
