Cut in 1910 Baseball Squad

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The candidates for the Freshman baseball team have been practicing daily in the Cage up to last Thursday, when the entire squad was taken outdoors for the first time. The batting showed a decided falling off in the two days outdoors, perhaps owing to the change in the light. The fielding, however, has shown a steady improvement, and the throwing has been strong and accurate. In a scrub game played on Friday between two scrub teams, team A defeated team B by the score of 3 to 0. Team A lined up: Curlin, p.; Ohler, c.; Hall, 1b.; Gardner, 2b.; Aronson, s.s.; Marshall, 3b.; Galatti, l.f.; Atkins, c.f.; Turner, r.f.

A cut was made in the squad on Friday, about 50 men being retained. Practice will be held at 4 o'clock from now on, instead of at 4.30 o'clock as formerly, unless a notice is put up in the Rendezvous to the contrary, on account of bad weather. The following candidates should report for practice today at 4 o'clock: Aronson, Atkins, Beaman, Browne, G. G., Brown, R. C., Caroy, Chapin, E. R., Chapin, J. R., Coburn, Crocker, Curtin, Curtis, Delano, Earle, Eldridge, Everts, Ferguson. Fisher, Foster, Frye, Galatti, Gardner, Hall, Haydock, Horwitz, Large, Jordan, Kenney, La Croix, Linchan, Mack, MacVeagh, Marshall, Mears, Murphy, Nev held, Newton, Ohler, Palmer, Pirmie, Pond, Sheehan, Steele Sweeney, Turmer Townsend, Wheelwright, White, Will.
