The Yale freshmen yesterday chose to argue the negative of the question for the Harvard-Yale freshman debate on April 26: "Resolved, That, if constitutional, United States shipping engaged in South American trade should be subsidized."

The Freshman team, which was chosen on Tuesday night, will immediately begin work under the direction of Coach G. J. Hirsch '07. As soon as they have thoroughly investigated the subject, practice debates will be held three times a week, in which the first team will argue the affirmative and the second team will speak on the negative.
